The work takes as its starting point two archival photographs part of the Met Museum's collection archive, showing the front and back side of a Chalcolithic blade. The images are repeatedly reconstructed through an AI image system with the intention of identical preservation. As the photographs are translated into and out of the model's latent space, small shifts and mutations emerge, accumulating across each iteration.
